This is a very short blog post to clarify a blog that I wrote for RefME. This was a reference generating software that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, they were purchased by Cite This For Me this year and the product has changed.
I do not like the product, Cite This For Me. I wouldn’t suggest it’s use to anyone. Mendeley, Zotero or NoodleTools, in my opinion are far superior products. They produce much better quality citations with far less errors.
Cite This For Me edited my original blog post for RefME without my permission, and without my knowledge. I have been unsuccessful in contacting them so I am writing here to clarify. In my original RefME blog I stated that I used RefME to create all the references in the blog that I wrote.
Here is what they edited:
Here is the original. I had saved it as a PDF on April 19, 2016 shortly after I originally wrote it. I wrote that I had used RefME to generate all of my sources:
They kept the original graphic created by RefME. You can see the heart in the corner worked well with their original logo.
I just wanted to set the record straight. Thank you,
