This is a great network that has a mentorship partnering program that is:
- free!
- provides networking opportunities with librarians all over the world
- gives you the chance to assist another librarian who is new to the field OR allows you to ask a more experienced librarian questions
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE MENTOR PARTNERSHIP
I am currently partnered with Business Librarian Paul Jewell from the Western Sydney University. The partnership has been full of great conversation that has helped me learn more about social networking, library layout and design as well as just spark ideas that I wouldn’t have come up with without him.

The Ladies who Started it All
Kate Byrne, Alyson Dalby, & Clare McKenzie formerly worked together in Syndey, Australia and were named Movers & Shakers 2016 by the Library Journal.
How the Program Works
The International Librarians Network (ILN) is a facilitated peer mentoring program.
This involves collecting information from participants and using this information to match them with other participants. This partnership will be formally supported for four months through regular contact and facilitated online group discussions. At the end of four months partnerships will automatically dissolve, and participants have the option to sign up for a new partnership.

Start Networking & Discussing
Conversations on a huge variety of topics are discussed, with many shared ideas and resources. You don’t have to be in the mentor partnership to participate in these.
